First blog post ever!  This blog really just has 2 purposes....  1)  Keep grandparents up to date on grand kids  and 2) Let grandparents and others who are interested follow our adoption process.  So, in that line of thinking lets start with....

Adoption update: Leslie, our adoption contact person, called about 3 weeks ago to check in on us.  She was hopeful we would have a referral within 4-6 weeks!  And that was 3 weeks ago!  I must admit my heart gives a little flip flop every time my phone rings these days!

Grand kid update: Gotta love these sweet pictures of Anna's first day of 2nd grade.  She is settling in well and enjoys the routine.  She is super excited to be in Mrs. Anderson's class.  Grant got his first "school backpack" for 4K.  This was a very big deal for him.  He was very excited to see his friend Emily again at school.  They are pretty much inseparable.  He has a little sheet to color and fill in about himself to share at school.  One of the question is "What is your favorite movie?"  Grants answer..."The Origins of W.W.II"
Jeremy is thrilled to have another history buff in the family!
