You know those rare moments in life when it feels like everything is right. A powerful peace and contentment comes over you and you thank God for THIS VERY MOMENT. Our airport arrival was one of those moments. Anna and Grant were waiting for us with my parents in baggage claim. As we came down the escalators and through the doors carrying Kidus, we saw them. Sweet Anna and Grant waiting to meet their little brother.
Tears of joy in Anna's eyes, her face flushed and smile beaming. Grant kissing Kidus over and over again saying "I just can't get enough of this boy..." Kidus with huge eyes looking at me for reassurance that these new white people are safe. Grandparents waiting to kiss the boy they have been praying for for months and months. A moment when a new family of five is formed.
God is so good.
